Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is Subscribeam?

Subscribeam is one place to discover newsletters and subscribe to them. You browse a curated directory, pick the newsletters you want, and enter your email once — we submit it to each newsletter's signup form on your behalf, and give you a single place to keep track of them.

Is it free to use?

Yes. The Free plan lets you subscribe to up to 3 newsletters and includes one embeddable newsletter widget, with no credit card required. The Premium plan removes those limits for €0.99.

How does subscribing through Subscribeam work?

When you select newsletters and enter your email, we submit that email to each newsletter's own signup system for you. Many newsletters then send a confirmation email you'll need to click before you start receiving issues.

I subscribed but nothing has arrived. What should I check?

Most newsletters send a confirmation email first, and nothing else arrives until you click the link in it. Look in your spam, promotions and updates folders for a message from the newsletter itself (not from Subscribeam), or search your inbox for its name. Many newsletters publish weekly or monthly, so the first issue can take a few days. If you have an account, My subscriptions in your dashboard shows whether each request reached the newsletter's signup form or was turned away.

How are newsletters added to the directory?

The Subscribeam team adds them, by hand or with the help of a crawler that looks for newsletters with a public signup form. Each listing shows the newsletter's own name and description and links to its website, so you can read a few issues before you subscribe. A listing isn't an endorsement, and we aren't affiliated with the newsletters listed.

Can I unsubscribe later?

Yes. Once your address reaches a newsletter it is on that newsletter's own list, so the way to stop receiving it is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any issue. My subscriptions in your dashboard lists everything you subscribed to through Subscribeam, so you can see what to clean up; removing an entry there deletes our record of it.

Do you sell my email address?

No. We collect only what we need to run the service and we never sell your data. We share your email with a newsletter only when you choose to subscribe to it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
