About Subscribeam

Subscribeam started from a small, familiar frustration: finding a newsletter worth reading is easy, but actually subscribing to a dozen of them means filling in a dozen signup forms, each with its own layout, its own confirmation email, and its own unsubscribe flow buried somewhere. Keeping track of what you've signed up for — let alone cleaning it up later — is harder than it should be.

We built Subscribeam to collapse that into a single step. You browse a curated directory of newsletters, tick the ones you want, and enter your email once. We submit it to each newsletter on your behalf, and give you one place to see and manage everything you're subscribed to.

What we believe

• Your attention is the scarce resource. The goal isn't to get you to subscribe to more — it's to help you subscribe to the right ones and drop the rest without guilt.
• Subscribing should be reversible. Every subscription you make through us is listed in one place, so you always know what you signed up for and which newsletters to unsubscribe from. No dark patterns.
• Your data is yours. We collect only what we need to run the service, we're clear about who we share it with, and we never sell it. You can read the details in our Privacy Policy.

What we make

Beyond the newsletter directory, we offer an embeddable subscribe widget that newsletter creators can drop into their own site, and a growing library of guides and recommendations to help you find newsletters worth your time and actually keep up with them.

How the directory works

The directory lists newsletters that anyone can sign up to. The Subscribeam team adds them — some by hand, others found with a crawler that looks for newsletters with a public signup form. Each listing uses the name and description the newsletter publishes about itself, and links to its website, so you can read past issues before you decide.

A listing is not an endorsement, and Subscribeam is not affiliated with the newsletters in the directory. Their names, descriptions and logos belong to their owners.

What happens when you subscribe

We send your email address to each newsletter's own signup form, as if you had filled it in yourself. Most newsletters then email you a confirmation link, and the subscription only starts once you click it. If you have an account, My subscriptions in your dashboard shows whether each request reached the newsletter or was turned away.

From then on you are on that newsletter's own list, so the way to stop receiving it is the unsubscribe link in any of its issues. Our guide to unsubscribing properly covers the cases where that link doesn't work.

If you run a listed newsletter

If a listing is out of date, or you would rather your newsletter wasn't listed, email [email protected] from an address connected to the newsletter, and we will correct or remove it.
