Terms of Service
The rules for using Subscribeam: what we do when you subscribe through us, what we expect from you, and how paid plans work.
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These terms apply to subscribeam.com and the services on it — the newsletter directory, subscribing to newsletters through Subscribeam, accounts, the embeddable subscribe widget and paid plans (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. How we handle personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
1. Accounts
You can browse the directory and read the guides without an account. Some features — managing your subscriptions, creating widgets, paid plans — need one. Sign-in is provided by EmbedAuth. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 to create an account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in your dashboard. What deletion removes is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Subscribing to newsletters through Subscribeam
When you select newsletters and submit an email address, you ask us to send that address — and any other field a newsletter's form requires — to the signup form of each newsletter you chose, on your behalf. Only submit an address that is yours or that you are authorised to use.
- Each newsletter is run by a third party. Its content, schedule, confirmation step, unsubscribe process and use of your data are governed by its own terms and privacy policy, not ours.
- We can't guarantee that a newsletter accepts a submission, sends you a confirmation email, or keeps publishing. If you have an account, your dashboard shows whether each request reached the newsletter's signup form.
- To stop receiving a newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in its emails. Removing a subscription from your dashboard deletes our record of it; it does not remove your address from the newsletter's own list.
The Free plan lets you subscribe to a limited number of newsletters through Subscribeam; the current limits are on the pricing page.
3. The newsletter directory
Directory listings are based on what each newsletter publishes about itself, such as its name, description and website. They may be incomplete or out of date. A listing is not an endorsement, and Subscribeam is not affiliated with the newsletters listed. Newsletter names, descriptions and logos belong to their owners. If you run a listed newsletter and want its listing corrected or removed, contact [email protected].
4. The embeddable widget
The widget lets you collect sign-ups for your own newsletter on your own website. If you use it, you agree that:
- you only collect sign-ups for newsletters you run or are authorised to run, and the signup form URL you configure belongs to one of them;
- you are responsible for how you use the addresses you collect, including telling your visitors how you will use them and complying with the data-protection and anti-spam rules that apply to your list;
- you won't use the widget to collect anything other than genuine newsletter sign-ups, or to mislead people about who is collecting their address.
We store each sign-up so you can see and export it from your dashboard, and forward it to the signup form URL you configure. The text and design choices you enter in the designer remain yours; you allow us to host and display them in order to run your widget.
5. Paid plans
Premium is a paid subscription. Prices and billing periods are shown on the pricing page before you pay. Checkout and billing are run by paybroadcast, and payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your full card details.
- Your plan renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops future charges, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If you think you were charged in error, contact [email protected].
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- subscribe an address without its owner's permission, or use the Service to send unwanted email;
- scrape the Service, overload it, or try to get around its rate limits, plan limits or security;
- use the Service, including the widget, for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful.
We may suspend or close an account, remove a widget, or block requests that break these rules or put the Service or other people at risk.
7. Our content
The Subscribeam software, design, guides and documentation are ours. You're welcome to link to them and quote short passages with a link back; please don't republish them in full.
8. Advertising
Some pages may show advertising from third parties such as Google AdSense. Advertisers are responsible for their own ads and the products they promote. How advertising cookies work, and how to opt out of personalised ads, is explained in the Privacy Policy.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep the Service running and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we don't guarantee that the Service, or any newsletter in the directory, will always be available or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, Subscribeam is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the content and conduct of third-party newsletters and websites, including what they do with an address you chose to give them.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will let account holders know before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
