Subscribeam (“we”, “us”) is a website and service, available at subscribeam.com, that helps people discover newsletters and subscribe to them from one place. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data when you use our website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data we collect

We collect only the data we need to run the Service:

• Account data. When you create an account or sign in with Google, we receive and store your email address and, where available, your name. If you sign in with Google, Google shares this basic profile information with us; we do not receive your Google password.
• Subscription data. When you subscribe to a newsletter through us, we record the email address you subscribed with, which newsletters you selected, and the time of the request.
• Payment data. Paid plans are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly — we do not receive or store full card numbers. We store a subscription identifier and your plan status so we know your account is active.
• Technical data. Like most websites, we automatically receive limited technical information such as your IP address and browser type, which we use for security, abuse prevention and to make the Service work.

2. How we use your data

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To submit your chosen email address to the newsletters you select (see “Third parties” below) and to let you manage or cancel those subscriptions.
• To process payments and manage paid plans.
• To send service emails, such as sign-in codes, confirmations and account notices.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Newsletters and third parties

The core purpose of Subscribeam is to submit your email address to the newsletter services you choose. When you subscribe to a newsletter through us, we pass your email address (and, where a newsletter requires it, other fields you provide) to that newsletter's own signup system on your behalf. Once submitted, your data is also handled by that newsletter provider under their privacy policy, which we do not control. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter at any time using the controls we provide or the unsubscribe link in the newsletter itself.

We also rely on a small number of service providers to operate:

• Google — for optional sign-in and, where enabled, advertising (see below).
• Stripe — for payment processing.
• Cloudflare — for content delivery and hosting of our embeddable widget.
• Our email provider — to deliver transactional emails.

4. Cookies and advertising

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the Service secure. These are required for the site to function.

We may also display advertising provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), your consent (for optional advertising cookies), our legitimate interests (security and improving the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

6. Data retention

We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting or security reasons.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. 8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
